The sewing pattern for women includes a gusset. The side seam is placed further to the back, so the thigh pockets sit more on the side. The length of the shorts reflect the fact that people have different leg-lengths.

Extras:
Waistband: Choose between the elastic waistband, 4 cm wide (1.5") with belt loops or the elastic waistband including the front-fly.
Hand pockets: Choose between the rounded or the zipper hand pockets.
Thigh pockets: Decide on the pocket type and the body side.

Recommended fabrics: Supplex-Nylon, Eta-Proof or Eta-Dry, Polyester/Cotton blend or Supplex/Cordura-blend. 
All recommended fabrics are soft, wind-and water-resistant, very breathable, fast drying and light. For more durability of the back piece, use the Supplex/Cordura-blend or a waxed Polyester/Cotton blend.
