My pants are ready now and I tried them out this afternoon during a sailing trip.

Hiking pants pattern

including:
- Form-waistband & Front-fly
- Hand pockets
- Cargo pockets
- Butt-, Knee- & Hem design seams

Form Waistband-facing

Question:

I don't see what the purpose of the pattern piece “Waistband-facing” is. Where and how is this placed?

ATB answer:

The "waistband facing" is used to cover the inside of your form-waistband. If you go to your sewing instruction section "Form waistband" you can read where it is used.
If you are part of the AskTailorBirgit Facebook group, go to media and videos, there is a video on how to attach/topstitch it to the bottom waistband.
